- Pay Scale: Management Grade (MP-I)

- Tenure: Contract basis for a period of 3 years (renewable/subject to terms).
- Maximum Age Limit: 62 Years (Upper age limit at the time of appointment/completion of tenure is 65 years, whichever is earlier).
- Department: National Heritage & Culture Division, 4th Floor, Kohsar Block, Pak Secretariat, Islamabad.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- Candidates applying for the position of Chairman must fulfill either of the following criteria:
- Option A:
- Education: Master’s degree (or equivalent qualification recognized by the Higher Education Commission – HEC) in Languages or Literature.
- Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in BPS-17 and above in Government, Semi-Government, Autonomous bodies, or private sector organizations in an equivalent post, including at least 5 years of experience at a Senior Management level.
- Option B:
- Eminent Scholar / Writer: Renowned professional with high literary standing, integrity, and exceptional competence in the field of Pakistani languages and literature.
Key Terms & Conditions
- Selection Process: Eligibility and selection will be determined strictly in accordance with approved government policy and recruitment rules.
- Interview Call: Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
- TA/DA: No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the interview.
- Government Employees: Candidates serving in Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous bodies must submit their applications through proper channels and will be required to get prior retirement/resignation before assuming charge if selected.
