The Government of Sindh, with the support of the World Bank, has launched the Sindh Livestock and Aquaculture Development Project (SLADP/LIVAQUA) to uplift the province’s livestock and fisheries sectors. Livestock is one of the most important contributors to Pakistan’s agricultural economy, employing nearly 40% of the rural workforce. In Sindh, livestock and aquaculture are directly linked to food security, rural income, and poverty reduction.
