VACANT POSITIONS
- Deputy Manager / Deputy Director Taxation
- Total Posts: 01 Position
- Reporting To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Deputy Manager Taxation
- Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all tax-related operations in compliance with Federal, Provincial, and local tax laws.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize tax planning, minimize liabilities, and ensure timely filing.
- Prepare tax statements, returns, and maintain tax-related legal documentation.
- Provide expert advice on business contracts, corporate law, and the tax impact of legislative changes.
- Liaise with tax authorities and external auditors during tax audits and proceedings.
- Supervise Assistant Managers and taxation staff within the unit.
- Identify operational efficiencies and implement best practices in tax administration.
- Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or relevant field. Professional certifications such as CA, ACCA, ICMA, or LLB in Taxation will be given preference.
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in taxation, with at least 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong working knowledge of Federal and Provincial tax laws, tax procedures, and compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in tax management software and financial accounting systems.
- Assistant Manager / Assistant Director Taxation
- Total Posts: 02 Positions
- Reporting To: Deputy Manager / Deputy Director Taxation
- Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all daily tax management operations, tax filing, and compliance tasks.
- Maintain accurate accounts of all tax liabilities and conduct regular reconciliations.
- Assist in tax planning, internal/external tax audits, and assessment proceedings.
- Maintain comprehensive tax records, registers, and documentation.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and keep management informed of relevant policy shifts.
- Draft responses to notices and queries issued by tax authorities.
- Detect and report any filing/calculation discrepancies and suggest corrective actions.
- Eligibility & Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Law, or taxation-related field. Partial professional qualification (CA/ACCA/ICMA) or background in Public Financial Management (PFM) will be an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in taxation and accounting.
- Sound knowledge of current tax laws, filing practices, and compliance procedures.
- Analytical, organizational, and computer skills with attention to detail.
