Job Summary & Responsibilities
- The Power Sector Expert will provide specialized advisory support to the company, particularly concerning provincial and national-level power sector policies and regulatory matters. Key responsibilities include:
- Policy & Strategy Support: Assisting federal and provincial agencies in developing, reviewing, and analyzing power sector policies.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Interacting with federal ministries, regulatory authorities, power sector entities, and industry stakeholders to support market reforms and renewable energy transitions.
- Regulatory Framework: Assisting in policy development, regulatory frameworks, and market reforms across Sindh.
- Action Plans & Planning: Assisting with the implementation of the Indicative Generation Capacity Expansion Plan (IGCEP) and Integrated Energy Planning (IEP).
- Advisory Services: Providing timely and reliable advisory support to management.
Eligibility Criteria & Qualifications
- To qualify for this position, applicants must meet the following strict requirements:
- Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Power Policy/Regulations, or a related field from an HEC-recognized institution.
- Experience: Strong professional experience in the power sector of Pakistan, specifically covering government policies, regulatory frameworks, market reforms, transmission development, and institutional arrangements. Familiarity with regulatory bodies like NEPRA, SEPRA, PPIB, and CPPA-G is essential.
- Additional Skills: Comprehensive knowledge of power sector governance, generation, transmission, distribution, market reforms, and CTBCM (Competitive Trading Bilateral Contract Market).
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 05 years of relevant professional experience.
